Acts 13:36

36“Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed

GOD said about David ‘a man after My own heart’, David was a servant of the GOD.

Matthew 20:26-28

26Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

LORD Jesus is Son of GOD came to serve.

Are you serving your purpose or GOD’s purpose?

We are born to worship and serve the living GOD. We are born for that purpose. We are on a mission of service. We are created in LORD Jesus to do the good works which He predestined beforehand to be true in your life.

LORD created to serve one another and be servant of a living GOD. He has gifted you, equipped you, given you talent, He has given you His life to live within you, through you. He wants to serve people around you by serving them through you.

GOD will never ask you to do anything that you cannot do, without equipping you preparing you.

GOD sometimes puts us through difficult circumstances to equip us to tremendous opportunity of service. GOD is in the process of preparing you for a fantastic opportunity. David served the purpose of GOD not His own purpose.

The only way you can serve the future by serving at present. He made his life count there and there. Make your life count. If you are serving GOD you are on the top.

How you can serve your own generation;

< Refuse to be slave to it. Don’t get slave to the earthly things.

< Refuse to run from it. Minister people.

< Discover your need and meet that need by the help of Almighty GOD through His power.

< Perform to common things. Do what needs to be done.

< Prepare yourself for future opportunities.

< Serve continuously, faithfully, be counted on.

< Prepare the way for those who will follow you. The generation that follows will be better because you were there.

Psalm 92:12-14

12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be healthy and flourishing;

John 12:26

26If any man serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serves me, him will my Father honour.

Hebrews 6:10

10For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
