Matthew 16:13-20

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

14They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will been loosed in heaven.” 20Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

LORD Jesus Christ is Son of the living GOD.

All the forces of the evil will not able to stand likewise death will not destroy the church, will never be able to overcome the Body of Christ’s Church. The blood of LORD Jesus strengthens His church.

John 11:25-26

25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

GOD said your authority, those things I have already decided. The decisions already been made, they will be making decisions under the authority of the living GOD who already made the decisions in heaven.

Characteristic of strong church

A strong church: The worship service provides an atmosphere in which people experience GOD’s presence and leave renewed in their commitment to Him.

< Spirit-filled leadership. They cannot do what GOD called them to do unless Spirit of GOD empowering them, enabling them, energising them, giving them direction and guidance to do what He called them to do.

12 apostles, then 120 were only ready when the Holy Spirit came upon them to do work GOD called them to do. No staff of the church is adequate to do the work GOD called them to do unless they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Listening to Him for the direction, power, and energy to carry out the work of Church.

Their lives should be evident that they are filled with Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

< Doctrinally sound message that meets the needs of the people

This is Word of GOD. You have responsibility to teach your children the Word of GOD. The truth will survive and conquer.

< Uncompromising in their convictions

Do not compromise your convictions, the Truth. GOD wants a strong church based and solid built on Word of GOD.

< Strong emphasis on faith and prayer.

Pray, read the Word of GOD daily, GOD I acknowledge I need you this day in my heart, I want you to give me guidance and direction, and I want to walk on your will. The intimate relationship will only come reading the Word of God and absorbing it. GOD will show you the truth. He is going to show you the truth in the things you need in your life. He will show you how to accomplish that, where to go and when to go. He is the best friend you can possibly have.

It is faith draws me into relationship with Him so I believe what He says. We have to live by faith. We accept LORD Jesus Christ by faith, we accept the truth of God by faith. Believing they meant what they said. The power of the Holy Spirit flows people of prayer and faith.

We focus upon GOD as GOD speak to our heart. When you neglect fellowship worship service, you will be weak. We are blessed and provided for.

< People serve in the strength of their spiritual gifts

Romans 12:6-8

6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

You operate out of your gift, when you operate out of your gift you are most efficient and the happiest. This is what GOD created me for.

LORD Jesus Christ build His church on love, love each other, one another.

< A vision for a lost world that would result in the going of some and the giving of others

Get the message to the world. Do what LORD Jesus said. Remember Almighty GOD comes to enable you, rescue you, open the doors of opportunities.
