When you trusted LORD Jesus as your saviour the Holy Spirit came to your life and sealed you forever as a child of GOD. For you it is a brand new life. That’s way LORD Jesus called it being born again. That point on you walk the believer of being Christian. Walking with LORD Jesus Christ is most exciting because there are no limitations. Your companion is Son of GOD. Salvation is one time experience but the walk is continuous.

< It is a walk of faith, walk is continuous forever

How do we advance in faith?

He would like you to grow in your relationship to Him, understanding to Him, so GOD can use you in the ways you never dreamed of.

Matthew 14:22-33

22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Most people want to stay in the boat, in fact they don’t want to get into boat.

The faith is confident conviction GOD LORD Jesus will do whatever He promised to do.

Colossians 2:6

6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,

On daily basis GOD wants us to grow, being Christian is a growing walk, advancing walk.

Luke 2:51-52

51Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

LORD Jesus was growing, advancing we need to grow and advance. Are you able to ask Him for things that you have not asked before?

Yes it is a difficult walk but we have the assistance, presence and power and wisdom and knowledge of Almighty GOD to help us with anything we face in life.

How to grow in your faith

GOD can use anyone and trust Him in the process. It will transform your life.

< Face and overcome, obstacles, test, trials, temptation in our lives.

Growing in faith is difficult but it begins with facing them and overcoming, don’t give up because something looks hard. If you know it is will of GOD. Don’t doubt. GOD will grow you in faith and answer your prayers. He designs the test and trial that perfectly will suit you in order to grow your faith. He will use us in proportion to our faith, He will bless us in proportion to our faith to strengthen our faith. Something that will challenge you to say Yes to Him while it looks difficult and you cannot do. Building faith brings a test.

< Understanding the very nature of GOD.

He is omniscient, He is omnipotent, and He is omnipresent. GOD is holy, righteous, love, mercy, forgiveness and kindness. Believe in your heart that GOD has all power. He knows how hard the test, how much you can stand.

< Mediate on the word of GOD.

GOD voiced the truth through who He has intended. What can do, will do, GOD gives direction through His word. He speaks to us through His word. GOD unfold His words in action in your life. Bible is the fuel for my faith. What GOD says about my situation this day? Bible is infinite. Any situation you come up with GOD has something to say to you. GOD knows exactly what you need, what you need to hear. The Spirit of GOD reads the word of God to you and applies to your heart.

Read the word of GOD, ask questions about it, it gets into your mind, it’s in your subconscious. When you do not read the word of GOD you are starving. Your spirit needs hearing the voice of GOD in your life. We need personal intimate relationship with GOD.

< Apply the principles of word of GOD.

You will be a success because you apply mind of GOD. He supports success in the hearts of His people. GOD will enable you to be success because you apply the principles of His word. GOD will enable you to succeed because you are doing what He called you to do.

< Observing the way He operates

He uses suffering to strengthen your faith, to open your heart to understand you need Him in your life. Sometime GOD is silent, sometimes makes us wait. We began to understand His ways. He will use most unexpected opportunities or will use a person that you would not expect. Don’t under estimate yourself what GOD can do in you and through you. He talks about answered prayer. He will answer you in a way you don’t expect. He operates in most unusual way and through unusual people. GOD wants your faith to grow.

< Observing the life of other people

GOD if I obey you and trust you what would you do in my life. GOD uses other people to stimulate our faith to help us to understand, to challenge you. We have the responsibility to proclaim the gospel as many people as possible, all over the world.

< Obey GOD and leave all the consequences to Him.

That is faith in perfection. I am going to do what He says, no matter it cause, no matter what it requires, and I am going to watch Him work. Because GOD honours obedience.

< I must believe in Him, trust in Him.

< Through answer prayer.

Teach little children praying early in their life. Pray with expectation, pray with assurance, pray with confidence, boldness.

< Share His message with people

Whatever you are afraid of doing something. Remember Holy Spirit came to your life to do anything and everything GOD has called you to do. When He tells you to do something, you cannot fail obeying GOD, when you disobey Him you dishonour Him. We have the responsibility to share the gospel, you have the message, we have the GOD and we have the power and the spirit of GOD working convincing the other person. You can do anything GOD has called you to do.

< Worship Him

When you sing the hymns, songs you confirm, confess the truth building up your faith. GOD wants people to trust Him.

< Confess your faith failures, deal with it, then ask LORD to forgive you and ask for another opportunity to prove it.

He loves you unconditionally, once you are saved He walks with you through you. What He wants to do is use you to the maximum of your potential to bring Him glory, He wants you to do well in your life. GOD knows the end result, He wants people to trust Him, believe in Him. He can use you to demonstrate to people who He is our LORD Jesus Christ.
