Colossians 3:1-4

1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

We have a living, vital eternal relationship with Christ. We are set in union with Him. We and Christ are one.

Colossians 2:20

20Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules:

Christ life;

Galatians 2:20:20

20I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

< We have been resurrected with Him then we ought to act certain way

Romans 6:4

4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

<We are hidden with Him, we are eternally secured with Him. Our source of energy is Christ.

John 14:2

2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?

Hebrews 7:24-25

24but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

LORD Jesus Christ not only interceding for us, He is also presently ruling over the whole world.

We need to understand our position therefore we have the right and privilege and power to think certain way because of who we are. We are risen to walk in a new life. Certain things does not fit us. Sin does not fit who we are, we are sensitive to sin, and we won’t tolerate sin.

Because you are a child of GOD and par taker of His divine nature, what’s inside of you now the Spirit of GOD was not there before you saved, we bear His name, we possess His life, therefore keep on seeking things above, where Christ seated at the right hand of the Father, where one of these days we will be in reality.

What we desire the most in life is what we work the hardest for. What we set our affections on, what we will become. Does what I think match what I am? If not we have to deal with that. We should set our mind and our affection on the Spirit in heavenly things.

Colossians 1:9

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

What is the will of the Father today? Seek the will of the Father. Only GOD knows His will for your life.

Know the ways of the GOD through His Word. GOD gives us direction through His Word.

The wisdom, the way, the will of GOD is in His Word.

If my mind set on spiritual things above I will know what to do on earthly things. I will have wisdom to make right decisions.

Seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness, the rule of Christ in my heart and His character in my life, all things will be added. The only things satisfy the human heart is Christ. Make Christ your objection. Set your mind in Christ. Christ living in Me, Christ living through Me. All my life should be on track with GOD’s will. Live in oneness relationship with Christ in obedience to His will.

Set your mind on the wisdom, the way, the will of GOD. Then in your walk it’s a wonderful joy and fulfilment. Christ is our source.

I want to get ready for whatever you want LORD. As a believer I don’t have right to do my own thing. I only have right to do His things. GOD loves to give what you don’t seek after. Set your mind on Him and He is responsible and loves to provide what you need. As long as you have your focus on GOD, I will be able to endure whatever I have to face and will always have my needs met.

Seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness, the rule of Christ in your heart.
