Little faith is I know He can I am not sure He will

Great faith is I know He will

Perfect faith is It is as good as done

1 John 5:4

4For whoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.

*Conquering faith recalls what GOD done in the past, GOD past victories

1 Samuel 17:32-36

32And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

33And Saul said to David, you are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

34And David said unto Saul, Your servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

35And I went out after him, and struck him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and struck him, and slew him.

36Your servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.

*Re-examines and reaffirms proper motivation for this battle

1 Samuel 17:25-27, 30, 45

25And the men of Israel said, Have you seen this man that has come up? surely to defy Israel has he come up: and it shall be, that the man who kills him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.

26And David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that kills this Philistine, and takes away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

27And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that kills him.

30And he turned from him toward another, and spoke after the same manner: and the people answered him again after the former manner.

45Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

He asked 3 times what the reward is going to be.

All warfare is spiritual warfare. We are like the soldiers ensure our motivation is right. His motivation was his love and devotion to mighty GOD.

Face the challenges with faith.

*reject the discouraging words of others

1 Samuel 17:28-33

28And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spoke unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why came you down here? and with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride, and the insolence of your heart; for you are come down that you might see the battle.

29And David said, What have I now done? Is it not a word?

32And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

33And Saul said to David, you are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.

There is no other voice louder than any other voice He speaks to us from Spirit to spirit.
