Running away from the will and message of GOD. How GOD worked in the life of those in Old Testament so we wouldn’t make the same mistake.

When GOD command us to do something He does not withdraw His command. When GOD gives you a command He does not withdraw it.

GOD made it very clear to Jonah and GOD will make it very clear to us.

Jonah 1:1-3

1Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

2Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness has come up before me.

3But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid its fare, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

When GOD tells us to do something He has a good purpose behind it and it is for our and someone else good most of the time.

LORD speaks to us with His Word, with His Holy Spirit, with our conscience. He speaks to everyone who is willing to listen.

It is impossible to run from GOD successfully.

GOD has a plan for your life and it is the best plan.

Whenever you disobey GOD you just started down. You cannot disobey GOD and think you are going up in the world, you are going down.

Disobedience and discipline are the biggest issue as parents do not discipline their children. Discipline your children when they are young so they will do what is right and will grow up godly and honourable. They will not submit to divine authority if they don’t submit to human authority.

If you are honest, you don’t want to go away from GOD, if you ignore GOD that’s mean you run away from GOD. It is impossible to run away from GOD, it is waste of your time, energy and effort because eventually you are going to face GOD.

Rebellion against GOD always has a high price, not only effects your life but the life of those around you. GOD promises blessings to those who obey and the longer you resist the more you miss.

Keep your eyes on the LORD and keep before us for everything He called us to do, because we all believers, missionaries, are set on a mission, we share our faith with other people, we share the gospel with them, we want to see them saved. It is our responsibility to let them know the truth and let them make the decision in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are here as the salt in life. If our lives are not making a difference that’s mean we are failing GOD and His call upon our life. A Christian should make an impact in the life of others with the love of GOD.

Running from GOD results in painful circumstances. The more important GOD’s word command to you, the greater sense of guilt you will feel, no peace, no joy, no contentment or no security.

There is no sin without paying the price. GOD warns us regarding consequences of sin.

If you choose to disobey GOD, your disobedience will bring suffering to somebody else.

GOD grace often provides second chance.

GOD is looking for available servants, willing to be used.

GOD often will make promise conditioned upon.

Running from GOD can be eternally disastrous. We reap what we sow, later than we sow.
