The continuing consequences of our sin;
*is a Biblical principle.
Galatians 6:7
7Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap.
*It is an act of divine chastisement to correct us. It is an act of love on the part of GOD to correct us, not to punish us, punishment is for wicked, and to His children it is chastisement. Punishment is for vindication, chastisement goal is correction.
*a safe guard against future sin.
*it does not imply non forgiveness on the part of GOD. There are consequences to sin. You have to face the consequences. If there are no consequences, there is no chastisement. The reason GOD allows consequences is to get the sin out of our heart.
*is a painful truth for those who will not sin without consequences. Some people believe they can sin without consequences. Some time there are tragic consequences.
*may be known only to the one who is guilty. Consequences of sin begins internally then externally, you will never get away from it. Your sin will find you out.
*may be for the benefit of others even more than ourselves. GOD did not let David by his sin because of those who around him, because of whole nation of Israel. We need to deal with our sins. If it will profit others GOD will expose the whole thing. You should confess your sins immediately. There will be short insignificant consequences if you keep short account.
The more responsibility you have the more far reaching the consequences will be. You cannot sin isolated, secretly, sooner or later it will catch up with you. Your sin will find you out. The best way to handle sin is immediate confession. The consequences of sin will keep showing up until you correct the thing brought it on.
The moment you are willing to deal with the root cause of it, you will stop it right there and then.
The ultimate consequences of sin is eternal separation from GOD.
Ask LORD Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins.
