John 1:1-18
The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome a it.
6There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15(John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ ”) 16Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and b is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
Peace is more than a word, idea or feeling. Peace is awesome gift of GOD who gives to everyone willing to surrender their life to Him and walk in His ways.
If you want true genuine peace in your life no matter what you are going through practice these statements below.
We experience His indwelling presence and peace;
*When we place our trust in Jesus as our personal Saviour, this settles once and for all, where we are going to spend eternity.
We will all die and face judgement; do you have peace in your heart about your relationship to GOD? You don’t have to think about what will happen when you die if you ask the LORD forgive you your sins, surrender your life to Him and yield yourself to Him.
*When we believe He is in sovereign control of all things, this removes my fear and anxiety for our personal safety.
Psalm 103:19
“The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.”
We believe the truth He is in control. He allows things to happen or He prevents things to happen. If you believe that He is in control of your life, you will be in peace.
Romans 8:28
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
He is in control of all things. If a person is disobedient to GOD, He will send enough warnings, enough heartaches and troubles and trials to get the person’s attention. If they ignore they suffer the consequences.
*When we are trusting the LORD to meet all our needs, this eliminates our daily concerns about not having enough.
Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
You cannot have peace if you worry about money or your needs. GOD intents His people to be in peace with Him and with one another. Peace is GOD’s gift to us. Peace is available to those who believe in their heart that GOD provide all our needs.
*When we are maintaining a clear conscience, this shields and protects our peace with ourselves.
When we have a clear conscience it will protect you and protect your peace. Ask yourself ‘Do you have a clear conscience?’
John 14:27
27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
When you don’t have peace, you either go to LORD Jesus or you go to the world’s substitute and world cannot substitute the peace of Almighty GOD in your life. You will have absolute peace in your heart when you trust Him.
*When we can accept ourselves the way GOD made us, this guards us against trying to change something over which we have no control.
When we trust LORD Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in our lives and enables us to use our spiritual gifts in a profitable way. We cannot change things in our lives that we have no control over.
We represent LORD Jesus we look our best, do our best, and be our best. We cannot be like others. GOD intends to be for us to be satisfied with Him with what He intends to do and He is doing in our life. GOD has made you the way you are for the reasons He has made you and He intends you to be happy and peaceful. GOD teaches us to be obedient, we all make mistakes but He patiently directs us to the right way.
He gives us different spiritual gifts. Ask ‘GOD what you intend to do for me?’ Whatever GOD choses for us, it is the best idea.
*When we have a sense of purpose in our life this protects us from the plague of emptiness.
Ephesians 2:10
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
GOD is very much involved with our life. GOD has a purpose for our life so GOD can manifest Himself in you. Follow Him, and obey Him.
Our security should be build up on nothing but our personal relationship with LORD Jesus Christ who is our GOD and promised to meet all our needs and desires of our hearts when we walk obediently to Him. LORD Jesus presence fills our hearts and expression of His life in us, through us that brings absolute assurance in our life and sense of being fullness of Spirit.
The closer we walk with LORD Jesus, the more peace we will have.
*When we have a sense of competency this protects us from failure due to our overwhelming sense of inadequacy.
People often fail because they feel inadequate to do what they are called to do and the feeling inadequacy creates doubts about ourselves. GOD will never call you to do something He will not equip you to do.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 talks about the spiritual gifts, you have those spiritual gifts. The moment you trust in LORD Jesus Christ as your Saviour the Holy Spirit comes into your life and that moment He began to work in your life to utilise that spiritual gifts whatever might be. GOD desires to equip us in order to accomplish His will for our life. GOD wants us to have peace, He wants us to be equipped. When we walk obedient to GOD His will in our life, we have a testimony, we live in peace. He has the best for our life. The only way we will be happy is when we walk in that peace.
*When we have a sense of belonging this shields us from the painful feeling of rejection and feeling unwanted.
Matthew 11:28
28“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
People who don’t come to Him, do not have peace. When you feel rejected, unwanted, uncared for look at the cross, remember who loves you.
Surrender your life to the LORD and be filled with His peace. LORD Jesus says Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. If you want that peace, it’s yours for the asking and surrendering of your life to Him, He is more than willing to give it to you.
