Genesis 3:1-5

1The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

2“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. 3“It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

4“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

-World wisdom will not work.

Isaiah 55

8“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.

“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.

9For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so my ways are higher than your ways

and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

1 Corinthians 1:18-29

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;

the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

20Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

26Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him.

-Way of wisdom draws conclusions and makes decisions, based on what appears to be logical.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19

18Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness” ;

Romans 1:19

19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

2 Corinthians 4:3-5

3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

-If unbelievers become believers, they have to change their life style therefore they prefer not to. When our eyes are veiled we act certain way when it is unveiled certain way.

1 Corinthians 2:12, 14

12What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

14The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

Faith gives us capacity to see beyond what is reasonable and rational.

GOD knows the future we don’t.

Way of faith requires our personal acceptance of LORD Jesus Christ as Son of GOD and His death at Calvary for the payment of our sins.

GOD paid the price for our sins by sending His only Son LORD Jesus Christ who never sinned to take the full payment of our sins on the cross as atoned satisfied.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2

1And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Way of faith is I came to know Almighty GOD in a personal way by accepting His Son Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for the full payment of my sins. The moment I do that the spirit of GOD comes to my life then I have a discerning spirit.

You only get to know GOD through your faith in His Son LORD Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:1-3

1You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?

The way of faith is cross, trusting Christ as your Saviour. GOD placed all our debts on His one and only Son our LORD Jesus Christ and He paid the penalty for our sins. Therefore “whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Gospel of LORD Jesus Christ is power of GOD in salvation.

It is always best to do things GOD’s way, it is best to put your trust in Him as your Saviour, it is the only way to get to heaven, it is the only way to have GOD in your life now. It is the only way for joy, peace, happiness and contentment. It is the only way to live with assurance. Be willing to humble yourself and acknowledge His Son as your Saviour.

John 14:6

6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
