Matthew 4:18-20

18And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting   a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19And he said unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20And they immediately left their nets, and followed him.

Experiences of being true follower of LORD Jesus Christ;

1. BE BORN AGAIN

John 3:3

               3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born again, he cannot see          the kingdom of God.

*Confess your sins, surrender your life to Christ, accept His forgiveness and begin to walk His way.

2. PRAY

Luke 6:12

12And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

*Lord Jesus spent all night praying to Heavenly Father. Start your day with talking to GOD, end your day with              talking to GOD. Make prayer a very vital habit in your life. Scripture says pray without ceasing. LORD Jesus    began His day alone with GOD.

3. LISTEN TO HIM

Matthew 17:5

               5While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

*GOD is the Sovereign GOD of universe, LORD, Master of all things who requires our obedience, our surrender,                our acknowledgement of His rule as GOD in this society and in this world. A follower of LORD Jesus is a person who prays and listens to GOD as well as talks to GOD.

4. BELIEVE HIM

John 3:16

16For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

*Trust Him, have faith in Him. Say; ‘I live by faith. I trust GOD with all!’.

5. OBEY HIM

John 8:12

12Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

*He who follows Me, obeys Me will have the light of life. Obedience to Him is absolutely essential for being a follower of LORD Jesus. Bible says wages of sin is death.

**If you follow LORD Jesus you obey Him. If you don’t obey Him, He will send heartaches, troubles and trials to correct your sense of misdirection in life. Obey Him, He is the source of all good things that comes our way.

6. LOVE HIM

Mark 12:30

30And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.

*Love the LORD with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. If I am true follower of LORD Jesus Christ that love will affect what I think, what I do, where I go, what I do, loving Him will affect every aspect of our life.

7. SHARE HIM

Matthew 28:19

19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

*Spread the WORD. Tell somebody else about Him. Get the Word, the Truth of the gospel to all nations. We are sensitive to people around us who desperately needs to hear the LORD, who needs Christ in their life.

8. SERVE HIM

John 12:26

26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.

*If anyone serves Me, My Father will honour Him. There are many ways to serve the LORD. Followers of LORD Jesus look around them, they are willing to serve others by encouraging them, by presenting them with the Truth of the gospel even when they don’t want to hear it. Followers of LORD Jesus makes a difference.

9. SUFFER FOR HIM

Philippians 1

29For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,

*You do suffer at some way rejection, financially or in relationship. If you are a follower of LORD Jesus some people don’t want you because you make them feel uncomfortable, your personality does not fit who they are. They love the world you don’t, you don’t fit in. We are to do what we need to do whether we are rejected or not.

**GOD transforms our minds without even us realising it.
