Matthew 14:22-23

22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone,

Loneliness is a separation and anxiety brought on by the feeling of being disconnected, out of touch. It is the loss of intimacy or feeling of belonging.

Solitude is a time I chose to be alone, I chose to withdraw from, time for refreshment, creativity.

*GOD wants us to be alone with Him that is a relationship. He relates to us in a personal way. He desires to have fellowship with us. He created us in order to reveal His love and truthfulness. His desire is to have relationship with us that express love, goodness and kindness and mercy, provision and protection.

Solitude is the way that relationship becomes reality in our life.

Romans 5:6-8

6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

GOD desires to have relationship with you, how can He have a relationship with you if your mind is on something else.

*Preparation, the primary reason for solitude is to experience Almighty GOD. GOD of the universe who convey Himself to you, reveal Himself to you, make Himself known to you in the most awesome fashion, just you.

How can we live fruitfully, productive, confident, boldly tomorrow? By starting off the day with the LORD who gives us direction in every single way with just you alone. He wants us to sense His presence in our life. He is willing to reveal Himself to us. To be alone with GOD we have to eliminate the distractions.

Stillness and quietness because He wants to be alone with just you, He wants your undivided attention. He just want you with Him. You will have sense of peace, joy and confidence that when you are alone with Him He steals your heart, quieten your spirit and makes you overcome whatever you are facing in life.

When you practice solitude there is great strength from GOD that unexplainable. A greater trust in GOD and deeper relationship with GOD. If you want GOD’s best, life best, this is the avenue.

Do you want peace in the midst of storm, quietness, joy this is the answer. Stress is a killer, the solitude is a life giver.
