*GOD will be with us in our dark moments.

Genesis 39:2-3, 20-23

2And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

20And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.

21But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

22And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.

23The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.

Hebrews 13:5

5Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

Psalm 139:7, 11

7Where shall I go from your Spirit? or where shall I flee from your presence?

11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

GOD assures us He will be with us.

Psalm 23:4

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.

Personal presence of Holy GOD is with us.

Hebrews 13:8

8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

* Live by faith.

* GOD has a purpose for allowing dark moments in our life. He allowed Joseph to be tested and tried. GOD used him to save a nation and his own family.

GOD has a purpose greater than we can imagine. The moment of darkness designed by Him. He is engineering all the circumstances in our lives for our good for His glory.

2 Corinthians 4:16-17

16For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

In my dark moments I see better, eternal things have more attraction.

GOD will not allow it if He cannot use it for something good. He has a purpose in mind.

* Our dark moments will only last as long as necessary for GOD to accomplish his purpose.

Because He wanted to make Joseph far greater influence in the world. Joseph learned to speak to language. He learned the ways of Egyptians. He learned to submit himself to authority of pagan. Before GOD put him on top he put him in bottom.

His faith in GOD tested.

2 Corinthians 4:18

18While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

You see better in the dark than light. You began to focus on eternal things.

GOD allowed him to stay in the circumstances as long it was necessary for him to be ready.

Our response to dark moments;

Fear,

Frustration,

Fight,

Faith, total surrender to GOD, yield to GOD, hold on to your faith, trusting, believing, put your focus ahead on GOD.

GOD will pull everything from your life that you dependent on until the only thing left is GOD Himself.

* We learn more in the darkness than light. He learned more about GOD. He learned to trust GOD, He learned the faithfulness of GOD. He learned personal contentment in dark times. GOD has given him gift to interpret dream. GOD gave him gift of organisation, being a leader. He learned his commitment to GOD.

GOD is training us, building character, showing us to endure under difficulty and trial during these dark times. When we learned what GOD wanted us to learn, when we trained, when we are ready, the darkness lifts.

It is always for our good, it is always for GOD’s glory.

We walk through darkness because GOD will light the way one step of the time, what to do next.

What we learn in the dark it will be worth all the pain and suffering. We should get understanding, glimpse of what GOD is doing in our lives.

* Even during dark moments we are walking towards the light of new day

All darkness is for brand new life, a whole new future. We don’t know when and where the light will come. GOD wants us to see things not seen. Think of walking in the darkness hand in hand with GOD.

GOD will not leave us in the dark. It is cleansing, training, character building, and preparation. GOD is up to something good. GOD will not tell what He is up to. GOD worked in all these people life in Bible. He loves us all, He gives His best for us.

* What we learn in the dark we got to share in the light

Genesis 41, 16, 25, 32, 51-52

16And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

25And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God has showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

32And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

51And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.

52And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

Genesis 50:19-20

19And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?

20But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.

It pleases GOD to shows us what’s going on.

Matthew 10:27

27What I tell you in darkness that speak in light: and what you hear in the ear, that preach upon the housetops.

Whatever He teaches in the dark He intents for us to share it in the light.

GOD is with us through are dark times. He has a purpose, He will keep us in the darkness till His purpose is fulfilled.

Once you get perspective in the darkness, it all starts to thin out, it transform itself into confidence and excitement what GOD is up to. GOD is up to something with everyone who is going through dark.
