How to avoid discipline?

1 Corinthians 11:28-32

28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

29For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Hebrews 12:5-11

God’s Loving Discipline

5And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:

6For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.

7If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?

8But if you be without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are you illegitimate children, and not sons.

9Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them who are trained by it.

Divine discipline is divine correction as a result of sin in our lives.

Sin leads away us from GOD and hinders GOD purpose in our like conforming us to likeness of Him.

Divine discipline has its purpose divine holiness.

GOD’s discipline is correction of us, getting us onto right path, ultimately it is personal holiness, Christ like character.

GOD’s training us in holiness.

Take it seriously, endure, be courageous, and don’t give up, those who loves disciplines.

He is treating us as a loving Heavenly Father.

He disciplines us for our good. Submit to it.

GOD holiness is going to be the ultimate result.

GOD what is the source of it?

Not all trials are GOD’s disciplines. Sometime He sends these into our lives to teach us how to endure hardship, to strengthen our faith.

John 15:2

He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

Learn to respond correctly, GOD will honour that.

Psalm 103:8-14

8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

We are His children, we are in training, He can deal with us knowing that our disobedience will bring hardship that we do not want to face. GOD is committed to daily training, He is saving us from ourselves, He is protecting us, His disciplining us for our good.
