How to deal with sin

1 John 1:5-10

5This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

8If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

1 John 2:1-2

1My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

*GOD is holy that does not tolerate sin, hates sin.

Romans 7:17, 20

17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

20Now if I do that which I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

*We no longer sin because we have the life of Christ within us but disposition toward sin is there. GOD deals with it.

*I must assume responsibility for my sin. He makes a provision that you may be able to escape, GOD puts a limitation on temptation. GOD tests us in order to approve. Satan temp people to do evil. You need to assume responsibility for our sins.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

*Conditional; confess it, confess mean agreeing with GOD about the way He sees my sins, my sins grieves, GOD. He hates sin.

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

2 Corinthians 7:9-10

9Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you sorrowed to repentance: for you were made sorry after a godly manner, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.

10For godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be regretted: but the sorrow of the world works death.

Repentance bring salvation. Provision for cleansing of our sins made 2000 years ago the application is when we confess. Repent your sins and genuinely, face up to it. Repentance is change of mind. Lay it down. GOD promises us liberty.

LORD Jesus Christ live within us, the greatest force abides in us. Then there is nothing that can defeat you. You can choose victory and the victory is yours.

Face up to your sins, assume responsibility and lay it down, and walk away claiming your position in Christ. I see the way GOD sees it. How you deal with sin, you focus on GOD, you assume full responsibility for it. You lay it down, you take your position in LORD Jesus Christ and you claim the victory, you claim it in daily walk.

Light drives out darkness. GOD hates sin because of its nature which destroys, wreck, enslaves His people. GOD is light and light and dark has no communion together. Believer is a saint we live in light who GOD is within us.
