Favour is approval, encouragement, support you get. You can’t have rejection and favour at the same time.

Exodus 33:9-19

9And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the pillar of cloud descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

10And all the people saw the pillar of cloud stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshiped, every man in his tent door.

11And the LORD spoke unto Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

The Glory of the LORD

12And Moses said unto the LORD, See, you say unto me, Bring up this people: and you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in my sight.

13Now therefore, I pray you, if I have found grace in your sight, show me now your way, that I may know you, that I may find grace in your sight: and consider that this nation is your people.

14And he said, My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.

15And he said unto him, If your presence go not with me, carry us not up from here.

16For how shall it be known here that I and your people have found grace in your sight? is it not in that you go with us? so shall we be separated, I and your people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

17And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found grace in my sight, and I know you by name.

18And he said, I beseech you, show me your glory.

19And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

He favoured Moses by calling Him, by choosing Him to do this work, by giving him staff and sent him to challenge Pharoh.

Psalm 30:5

5For his anger endures but for a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

*GOD puts a limit to our suffering.

Luke 1:30-31

30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour with God.

31And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.

*By giving us opportunities and privileges in life that can only come from GOD.

GOD favoured us by giving us His Son, by forgiving our sins, by giving us His Holy Spirit, by providing our needs, by providing our heart desires, by giving us understanding heart, by answering our prayers, by listening to us, by encouraging us. His grace is His unmerited favour towards us. Every good thing that comes our way is from GOD.

Genesis 6:8-9

8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

*Walking with GOD, daily trusting Him, obeying Him, seeking Him, loving Him, worshipping Him,

Proverbs 3:1-4

1My son, forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments:

2For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.

3Let not mercy and truth forsake you: bind them about your neck; write them upon the table of your heart:

4So shall you find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

*Feed upon Word of GOD, into your heart see how GOD operates and watch what GOD does in your heart.

Proverbs 12:1

1Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. 2The good man obtains favour from the LORD,

*good man is his heart towards GOD. Desires to be obedient to GOD, desires to walk in the ways of GOD, desires to serve the GOD, desires to worship GOD, desires to please GOD, and desires to do will of GOD.

1 Peter 2:19-20

19For this is commendable, if a man for conscience toward God endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

20For what glory is it, if, when you be buffeted for your faults, you shall take it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you take it patiently, this is commendable with God.

When you do right bear up, endure the suffering patiently and trust GOD you find favour with GOD.
