1 Corinthians 1:18-24

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;

the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”

20Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

LORD Jesus Christ had whole new idea about life. He encouraged people in Roman Empire to love one another, be forgiven each other which was foreign to them. His message was disturbing their whole thought pattern. He was encouraging people to live whole new life style. He taught them how to pray, not to worry and trust the Heavenly Father for everything. When He began to talk about healing the sick, giving sight to a blind man, raising the dead LORD Jesus offered them promise of life that had beauty and glory in it . LORD Jesus came upon the scene the eternal Son of GOD with love, caring, healing, goodness, mercy and kindness. LORD Jesus came upon the scene with total whole new idea about life. All these threatened Pharisees and Sadducees. They turned their face against LORD Jesus and decided to destroy Him at all cost.

You either believe LORD Jesus Christ is Son of GOD or you don’t. LORD Jesus made everything very straight and clear. LORD Jesus is only begotten Son of the Father, Son of GOD, born of a virgin prophesised by Isaiah and the prophets as the One coming to set men free of sin, disobedience and rebellion and the process of doing that absolutely disrupted the society. What we believe becoming less and less popular and more and more threatening to a society that wants to be morally free and free in every way; do what you want to do, when you want to do it, you don’t have to ask anybody and you certainly don’t want somebody who goes to church telling you how to live.

You have to make a decision; am I going to be true to LORD Jesus Christ, Son of GOD, believe what He told in His word or am I going to go with the world? You will have to make a decision, you already making it. The pressure is on to rid our society up anything godly or that nature. When you look at the life of LORD Jesus Christ what happened at the cross it should cause us to be more determined than ever before to live a godly life.

All He taught was absolutely essential but the most important thing LORD Jesus did was to die as the One who bore the sin of the world our Saviour LORD Jesus Christ. He came to the world for the primary purpose of dying for our sins and the more we are obedient to Him, praise Him, worship Him, true to Him the more uncomfortable those around us will be. Because the world wants to do what they want to do and they certainly don’t want anyone telling them what to do.

LORD Jesus died a substitutionary death. Substitute something means something takes its place. LORD Jesus came to die as a substitute for all of us so we don’t have to die for our sins that is the core of the message of the gospel. LORD Jesus Christ the perfect sinless Son of GOD came to the world for the primary purpose of giving His life because His life is divine. It was substitutionary because He was born of a virgin, He was GOD, born into flesh, He is the Son of GOD came to be a substitute for our sins that made Him different from all the rest.

LORD Jesus is the perfect Son of GOD, the only substitute necessary to take care of the sins of the whole world. GOD placed the sins of all mankind upon Him crucify Him as payment of the sins of the world. That all about LORD Jesus dying and taking our sins dead upon Himself in order that we will be acceptable to GOD. LORD Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundant.

If you want to go to heaven there is only one way and world cannot stand that thought. LORD Jesus said I am the way, the truth, the life. He made it clear ‘No one comes to the Father but by Me.’

John 14:6

6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

You either believe it or not. If don’t believe it you don’t believe the word of GOD, if you do believe it you believe because LORD Jesus Christ is the perfect Son of GOD, He is the only sacrifice that is acceptable because He is the only sinless sacrifice ever lived.

We believe in LORD Jesus to extend that we yield ourselves to our Saviour, Master, our GOD and our hope of heaven is absolute assurance. So we are living in a world where trauma getting worse and worse because more holy GOD’s people live the more unacceptable we became, the more we are true to the word of GOD when we say LORD Jesus Christ is the only way. We believe what GOD says, GOD says I sent My only begotten Son into the world whoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life for those who don’t the wrath of GOD coming upon them. LORD Jesus made it clear He is the only way, the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through Him.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:6-9

6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die.

8But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Those of us who are saved, justified by His blood, declared righteous for what He did, not what we did. It’s all about Him.

Acts 4:11-12

11This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the head of the corner.

12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.

Salvation is found in no other name but LORD Jesus Christ. What you believe is absolutely essential in your relationship to GOD and it isn’t a matter of being thoughtful of other people, it isn’t about being narrow minded, it isn’t matter of being unkind, unloving and judgemental and critical that’s not what all is about. It is about do I believe what GOD says. So you should expect to be criticized and you should NOT be ashamed of testimony of gospel of LORD Jesus Christ.

The question is; does GOD make it clear in His word how to be saved? And the answer is ‘Yes’. Does He make it clear in His word that those who willing to trust Him as their Saviour will be saved? The answer is ‘Yes’. The question is Am I going to believe what GOD says or not? If you do not believe what Bible says what are you going to believe in? What do you put your faith in if it is not the Word of GOD?

When it comes down to eternity this is it. When they question it? Do you have a courage to declare your faith in LORD Jesus Christ? You don’t have any reason to give an inch, you don’t have any reason to ever be embarrassed, you don’t have any reason to be afraid to defend the truth of the Word of GOD.

LORD Jesus said “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” It is a settled issue with GOD when you trust His Son LORD Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

We can shout LORD Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. You and I have the greatest message the world will ever hear. Our Heavenly Father who loved us enough that He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for us, shed His blood, be accepted by the Father and forgiven our sins, our names written in the Lambs Book of life and heaven is our home, that’s who GOD is. We are follower of LORD Jesus Christ. All of us who are going to heaven going with the grace of GOD, through the shed blood of LORD Jesus Christ, amen.
