Judgement of believers

Posted on 31 Oct 2019

It is awesome thought to think, one of these days we will stand in the presence of LORD Jesus Christ face to face and give account of our whole life.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10

10By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved–even though only as one escaping through the flames. 1 Corinthians 3:10-15

“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” Romans 14:12

Every single believer is going to stand in the presence of the LORD Jesus Christ and give account of His or her life. 27Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, Hebrews 9:27.

Those are saved will stand the presence of LORD Jesus Christ for judgement of rewards.

It’s going to take place after the rapture, He is coming for His church, and every single believer will be taken out of this earth. He is going to seal 144 000 Jews who will be missionaries during 7 years tribulation period and multitude will be saved during that time. Only those who trusted LORD Jesus as their Saviour will be taken to heaven. Only those who are saved and ready going to see Him, will be resurrected that time.

8We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

When you leave this earth we are going to be at the presence of GOD. We are going to be judged according to our works. In order that to happen the life needs to be lived out. We are going to be judged according to the influence we had.

The resurrection and judgement of rewards are related “and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Luke 14:14 When Jesus Christ comes back to judge the earth and we with Him. We will already have been rewarded.

22Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, John 5:22. We will stand at the presence of LORD Jesus and give account to Him.

“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” Romans 14:12. The responsibility has been given to LORD Jesus.

1For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, 3because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 6Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7For we live by faith, not by sight. 8We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:1-8.

He is speaking to believers only believers have the promises Paul is talking about here. We have glorified body waiting for us, we are going to experience resurrection, it is with us we are absent from the body present with the LORD. The believers who die in Christ they sleep in LORD Jesus. When we die we are immediately in the presence of the LORD, each one of us every believer.

This judgement is a judgement of rewards. Every believer sins atoned for by the blood of LORD Jesus. This judgement is giving account of our works. The ultimate purpose is rewards. GOD ultimate purpose on the judgement is to bring glory to Himself. We are going to be rewarded according to the deeds we are committed. Therefore we are going to have eternal reward. The primary purpose is to bring glory to our lives. He predestined you to confirm to His likeness because more like Him we are we bring more glory to Him. He brings us to accountability I order to determine what’s our rewards is going to be and what our privileges to be in heaven. The judgement determines the degree of glory you and I bring to Him for all eternity. Secondly to determine the responsibility and the privilege that you and I going to have when we stand at the presence of the GOD for eternity. Because we are going to have responsibilities. We are going to be serving the GOD forever and the capacity we are able to serve Him according to the judgement and GOD judges us according to our works in this life how we live here and now. What happens to us for eternity?

This foundation has been laid, it is only eternal foundation is Christ. Once we trust LORD Jesus as Saviour of our lives we start begin to live our lives.

10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Before we were saved we were dead spiritually, we became a new creation. We are born again by the spirit of GOD when you trust LORD Jesus Christ as our Saviour, now we can relate to the Father. He has saved us, made us a new creation in order that you and I live our lives in just a fashion that our lives will be characterised by good works.

Good works absolutely essential for believers to bring glory to GOD. Before He saved us He prepared the works you and I carry out in our lives. He chose how we meant to live. He has gifted you with spiritual gifts, He has gifted you with talents so would be good certain areas. He has prepared the good works beforehand that we should walk in them which means this is the way we meant to live. Our lives should be characterised by good works and therefore become a child of Christ, created in good works He prepared beforehand that we should live. He saved us in order that we will bring Him glory. Our motivation for works should be pure love for Him but in the process we gain or lose rewards.

We are like gold being refined. He is growing us into this relationship with Him and confirming us to His likeness and the troubles, trails, tribulations and heartaches, he is refining us. He is polishing us up. He is making us more like His Son, our conduct will be more like His, our conversation is more like His, our character will be more like His because one of this days we will stand before Him and give account.

The discipline GOD sends in our lives is for our own good. GOD wants us to draw us to Him to the point that we want to serve Him, we want to be obedient to Him because He knows what’s waiting for us. Therefore because He knows the rewards waiting for us, GOD is going to put pressure on us. Because GOD knows what they will miss. I am glad GOD discipline us because that’s GOD loving us. That’s GOD expressing His love to us.

Share your faith, walk in Godly fashion, our work will be manifesting. The fire will be testing quality of our works. We are going to be judge for our works our deeds. He is judging our works. What we fail to do, disobedience we suffer loss. He will judge us based on 3 things;

On the basis of on the truth we know, according to the opportunities we had, what we did with the opportunity and the truth.

It is important that you discover the will of GOD in your life as early as possible. It is will of GOD that you and I saved and walk in the will of GOD. Teach your children GOD has a plan for your lives. You help them to understand what it is GOD purpose and plan for their life. Find out what GOD would like you to do.

12I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. Revelation 1:12-14

When we face LORD Jesus Christ we are going to face with infinite, monition, perfect knowledge, holy, righteous, infinite knowledge. We will be in instant agreement with Him. We will be rewarded with what’s left. We have punished ourselves if we waste our talents, opportunities.

We have a place in heaven. The reward is going to be on the basis of the truth we know, the opportunities He gave us and what we did with it. The responsibility is given to us in heaven on the basis of our faithfulness now. The judgement is going to be individual and perfect. The whole point of being alive is to glorify GOD. When we stand before Him we lose our capacity to glorify GOD for the eternity that He has created us to bring glory and honour to Him and to lose that capacity is greatest loss. My responsibility will not be the same.

You will be complete as you can be in heaven. Your capacity is to bring glory and honour and your responsibility is to serve Him according to what’s happening here and now in life. I am determining in this life what’s going to happen to me in the judgement and if I am going to be judged my deeds and works will be rewarded accordingly. Every single day is important. Every work is important. The reason for us to be created is to bring glory. That is the reason for being given talent and opportunities, to bring Him glory. Your very existence is to glorify GOD.

It is appointed by GOD once to die after this judgement. It determines where and how we are going to spend the eternity. Those who are believers bring glory, honour to Him, serve Him anywhere anytime.

LORD here am I. The truth, talents and gift you have given me here I am what would you like me to? Because I know You will reward me accordingly.
