Landmine of slothfulness

They were courageous and bold. They had difficulties but did not give up.

2 Thessalonians 3:6-16

6Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received from us.

7For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nothing; but worked with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you:

9Not because we have not that right, but to make ourselves an example unto you to follow us.

10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11For we hear that there are some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Benediction and Paul’s Signature

16Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

The slothful people have bad influence on other people. They are not trustworthy, they don’t do what they promise, they are not dependable, always give excuse.

Godly people are disciplined, diligent, give our best. We represent LORD Jesus and follow Him.

Proverbs 20:4

4The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.

Proverbs 22:13

13The slothful man says, There is a lion outside, I shall be slain in the streets.

Proverb 6:9-11

9How long will you sleep, O sluggard? when will you arise out of your sleep?

10Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11So shall your poverty come upon you like a vagabond, and your want like an armed man.

Proverb 10:26

26As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.

Proverb 25:19

19Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

Proverb 19:25

25Smite a scoffer, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that has understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

Proverb 26:12, 16

12See a man wise in his own eyes? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

16The sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven men that can answer reasonably.

As a follower of LORD Jesus Christ because of the impact on other people’s life, how well we do, how diligent how faithful and devoted we are, we have a testimony and that testimony needs to live loud and clear!
