Genesis 1:27-31

27So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

29Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

We are very unique, in the creation of GOD. GOD made us in His awesome and in His indescribable creativity.

GOD is a GOD of love, creativity, beauty, and generosity.

< GOD intends for us to be productive in our work.

Genesis 2:15

15The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

< GOD is protective.

Genesis 2:16-17

16And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

GOD gave us a choice. GOD wanted you to choose to love Him, he wanted us to choose to listen to Him, He wanted us to choose Him.

Genesis 3:4

4“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.

< You cannot hide from GOD.

When and where would you hide when you are in the presence of GOD?

Genesis 3:8

8Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

GOD knows exactly where you are. You cannot hide from GOD who loves you. GOD loves you so much He sent His Son to die for your sins on the cross.

< Disobedience always carries pain and disappointment.

All sin is disappointing.

You cannot live without GOD and be satisfied, be happy and content because who GOD is He made us in His image. We have personality, spirituality, morality. Therefore we got to respond accordingly.

< Regret does not erase the penalty for your sins. Holy Spirit will convict you of your sin and you will regret it and there will be penalty.

< There are often surprising consequences to our sin.

< The penalty for our sin can’t be avoided by blaming somebody else.

< Sin is costly.

Genesis 3:24

24After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

You will not escape the consequences of sin. Because when you sin against the GOD you become weaker.

The wages of sin is death, the gift of GOD is eternal life. We reap what we sow.

There is no excuse for sinning against GOD.

There is one Saviour LORD Jesus Christ, shading His blood paid our debts in full.
