Circumstances mean things around us, have effect in our lives.

Philippians 4:10-12

10But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me has flourished again; in which you were also concerned, but you lacked opportunity.

11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content.

12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

*He learned to be content and he was encouraged

*you focus on Christ rather than your circumstances

Philippians 1:18

18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

Philippians 2:18

18For the same cause also do you joy, and rejoice with me.

Philippians 3:1

1Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

Philippians 4:4

4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Philippians 1:13, 15, 17-18

13As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.

15It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill.

17The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.

Philippians 1:12

12Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.

Acts 28:30-31, 21

30And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,

31Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

21For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Any way you look at it I win. Focus for a child of GOD is focus on the LORD.

Still preaching the gospel in prison his focus is on Christ.

GOD is working in your lives, always for the purpose to accomplish; to conform to likeness of His Son.
