Luke 1:26-33

The Birth of Jesus Foretold

26In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28The angel went to   her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you.”

29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God. 31You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

Philippians 2:8-11

8And being found in appearance as a man,

he humbled himself

by becoming obedient to death—

even death on a cross!

9Therefore God exalted him to the highest place

and gave him the name that is above every name,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

Reverence, respect, authority, honour to our LORD Jesus Christ.

Names are very important to GOD. Sometime He will change names; Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, Simon to Peter [LORD Jesus said “on this rock I will build my church” Matthew 16:18.]

GOD gave names to John the Baptist, and to LORD Jesus because of the work they came to carry out. Jesus means Joshua in Hebrew. The Saviour.

LORD Jesus will rule and reign and He will be King and His Kingdom will be forever.

LORD Jesus name is everything to us.

*Atonement LORD Jesus save us from our sins.

Acts: 4:12

12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Romans 10:9

 9If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

LORD Jesus is a holy, sacred, righteous, authority, it is name of GOD. He is GOD.

Jesus means atonement, Jesus means forgiveness, Jesus means cleansing, Jesus means salvation. Apart from Him we have no future.

 *Access He is a door to eternal life, through LORD Jesus Christ we have access to the Father. When we say His name something happens inside of us. His name is above every name.

John 14:6-7

6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

*Adoption through LORD Jesus Christ we are adopted as sons and daughters with GOD. Your name is written in the Lambs Book of Life. He chose us in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:4-5

4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

5he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

John 1:12 “to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—“

Colossians 1:15-20

15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created:   things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Romans 8:14-17

14For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

He adopted us in the body the moment we accept LORD Jesus Christ as our Saviour. LORD Jesus Christ rules and reigns. The name of LORD Jesus is everything we have and we will ever have. This life is not it for us, this is our learning period for our life.

*Assurance The eternal life is a holy life, righteous life, it is a gift of GOD.

John 20:30-31

30Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

1 John 5:13

13I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

*Advocate LORD Jesus is advocate, He is the one defender in the court room.

1 John 2:1-2

1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Our conscious is clear. He is the One continuously cleansing us from our sins. He is our atonement for ours sins, He is our access to the Father, He is the One made the adoption possible as sons and daughters of GOD, He is the One gives us the assurance for our salvation and He is the One sits at the right hand of the Father as an advocate.

*Authority He is our authority in His name even demons put to flight, His disciples cast out the demons in His name. Peter said “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6. It is a name of divine authority.

Father we come to you in the name of LORD Jesus. He is our authority. We heal people in LORD Jesus name, we cast out demons in LORD Jesus name.

He is GOD ruling reigning in the earth. Son of GOD, His Kingdom will last forever.

*Assistance LORD Jesus name is we all want to hear, he takes care of all our needs.

John 14:26

26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Colossians 2:10

10and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

*Answer to our prayer ‘Father I come to you in LORD Jesus name by His shed blood. Thank you Father you will hear my request.’

We must come to the Father in Spirit. The hand of heaven moves at LORD Jesus name. LORD Jesus is the reason for everything. When you have LORD Jesus you have everything. Happiness, peace, joy, contentment, fulfilment, completeness come over you when you have LORD Jesus. If anything your heart desire, is in keeping with His will it is yours for receiving.

John 14:14

14You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
