Luke 10:38-42

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

*Our number one priority in our life is our time spent alone with Him. Listening to Him, learning from Him, longing for Him, to be like Him. Desiring in our heart that our character will be His character. Desiring our life will be a living expression of His life.

In GOD’s eye, He is our number one priority. We want to be sure everything is right between us and GOD. He wants us to love Him every day. We want to come to Him, we desire Him and we long to know Him.

When you get alone with the LORD and you put Him first;

*He are alone with Him, He will quieten your spirit, shut out everything else in the world just you and Him. He knows how to do that.

Psalm 63:8

8My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.

*When you get alone with the LORD and He is the first and when you begin to listen to Him, you praise Him and love Him, divine energy surges through your body that you get renewed energy, you get sense of quietness and energy.

*Strengthens your faith

*Refreshes your emotions

*He will purify your heart

*Greatest time saver in life

*We get inside and instructions from GOD. He wants to protect you, provide for you in your life, we get instructions and direction from His Word.

*Prepares us for conflict, so we are ready when something comes because we know who is in control. Prepares us for the storms in our life.

*it anchors us in the storms. All we have to do is follow Him, be obedient to Him, and watch Him demonstrate His awesome power in our life.

*you can unburden your heart

*there is a joy in our life that nothing else can provide. Happiness depends upon circumstances, the joy depends upon the relationship.

Because we relate to LORD Jesus Christ who loved us and died for us on the cross. The Holy Spirit lives in the inside of us to enable us to become godly.
