We should be prepared for temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:12-13

12Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

13There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

*there is a limitation

*GOD will provide a way of escape

*Endure it and come out victoriously. GOD knows how to deliver you in whatever temptation you are facing.

2 Peter 2:9

9The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished:

Our responsibility;

Matthew 26:39-41

39Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken               from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

41“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

*Learn to be alert towards temptation. Awareness of how Satan temps -usually unsuspected and his timing,.

1 Peter 5:8

8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

*Ask GOD to keep us alert. Have the sensitivity of the spirit. Develop sense of alertness.

*Praying during the time of the temptation.

Psalm 50:15

15And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

Psalm 57:1-3

1Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in you: yea, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities have passed.

2I will cry unto God most high; unto God who performs all things for me.

3He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

When we cry out to GOD our focus is on GOD. The way out of temptation is; be alert, watching and crying out to GOD.

LORD Jesus says;

John 17:15

15I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.

He will be with us so that we can endure it.
