If you apply the message of the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ into your life, GOD will change your life and He will enable you to reach your full potential.

Clear mind, clear heart, a balanced schedule, right relationships, a healthy body, taking risk is essential if you want to reach your full potential in life.

Matthew 14:22-33

22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

A risk is possibility of suffering lost or danger.

Risk is closely related to faith. When there are challenges, GOD asked you to do something, go somewhere, you take a risk. Trusting GOD may have moments of fear of failure, we may take our focus off Him, we may began to sink and doubt, GOD brings us back to His attention.

Peter took the risk in what appears to be impossible because He was focused on LORD Jesus because LORD Jesus had power to walk on the water so he trusted Him.

There will be moments we will suffer weakness of faith, and we will feel fear. GOD understands that He does not hold it against us, what He wants us to do get our focus back to who He is and let Him lift us up back onto water and get us hit onto direction He wants us to go.

You have to take risk. If you do not take risk in your Christian life, you are not going to grow. Something GOD called us to do might be dangerous or suffering loss, only GOD knows what they have gained.

John 15:13

13Greater love has no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.

When GODs call you and challenges you to do something you will grow in Christian life. Reaching your potential. GOD wants you to accomplish and become. Whatever He would like you to do, take risk, He is with you. On your part you need to persevere, endure and hang in there. Don’t be afraid of criticism and failure. It is a risk on our part but not on GOD’s part.

GOD created you for a relationship with Him. He gave you talents, abilities and skills for you to accomplish what He wants you to accomplish. GOD is not satisfied with you playing safe. Whatever risk He required us to take, GOD can handle anything and everything we face no matter whatever it is.

Is my faith strong enough, am I willing to persevere, am I willing to hang in there? Do you want to achieve what GOD wants you to achieve? If you are afraid to try or afraid of failure that’s not what GOD wants. He wants you to trust Him when He calls us to take a risk.

GOD challenged these people to take risk in their life throughout in scripture. Trusting GOD and living with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Abraham obeyed and the reward was that He became a father of whole nation.

GOD called Abraham and ask him leave all behind and followed GOD’s leadership, guidance by His Holy Spirit.

Moses while living in dessert GOD asked him to go back to Egypt and confront Pharaoh to let GOD’s people go. He became the saviour in Old Testament.

GOD called Gideon and ask him to set Israelites free of the enemy. The risk was 300 men facing whole army, break the clay pots, hold the torch and blow the trumpets. GOD assumes full responsibility for our disobedience. Next 40 years he was a judge and there was peace in the land. GOD always assumes full responsibility for our obedience period.

Esther went into the inner court where she was not allowed and risked her life and saved her nation. If you are going to live Godly life and obey GOD you need to take risk. If you accept the challenges GOD set out for you, you need to take a risk. If you want to grow and achieve what GOD wants you to achieve you need to take a risk.

There is only one safe and secure place that’s in the hand of living GOD, doing the will of GOD. That is the only safe and secure place to be. When GOD wants you to do something, He is enabling you to take the step forward and achieve things that He would like you to achieve to reach your full potential in life.

If GOD has given you a specific task to accomplish, He will provide you the resources to do it, our responsibility is to believe in Him and step out in faith.
