1 Corinthians 1-9

1Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

2To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

3Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanksgiving

4I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— 6God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Deuteronomy 7:9

9Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Psalm 119:89-90

89Your word, Lord, is eternal;

it stands firm in the heavens.

90Your faithfulness continues through all generations;

you established the earth, and it endures.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

24The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

2 Timothy 2:13

13if we are faithless,

he remains faithful,

for he cannot disown himself.

1 Peter 4:19

19So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

1 John 1:9

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

GOD always does the right thing in every single situation and fulfil every single promise He makes. GOD is always the same, He is always there to fulfil His promise.

Attributes of GOD

< GOD is omniscient. He knows all present, pass and future. He knows all our needs, our wants, our desires, weaknesses. He knows everything.

< GOD is omnipotent. He is all powerful. He has all the power.

< GOD is omnipresent. He is always present in our lives.

< GOD is truthful. GOD will never mislead you. He will always point you to right way.

Titus 1:2

2in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

2 Timothy 2:13

13if we are faithless,

he remains faithful,

for he cannot disown himself.

GOD will never mislead us, He will never say anything to lead us into wrong direction in our lives. He is all knowing, all powerful, always present and always truthful. He says I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Every single promise He makes He will fulfil.

1 Peter 4:19

19So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

GOD is faithful to His word and to us as followers of LORD Jesus Christ. He is also faithful to unbeliever. He is faithful to you on the basis of your belief, in His nature.

< GOD is immutable. GOD does not change.

Malachi 3:6

6“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.

1 John 5:14

14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Romans 10:9

that if you confess with your mouth “Jesus [is] Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you believe in LORD Jesus Christ, it is a word of action, forgiveness of your sins, repentance of your sins and accepting the LORD Jesus Christ as a Master of your life.

GOD said to Jonah I want you to go to Nineveh and preach the message judgement is coming. They turned to the LORD. It was conditional statement. GOD goal was to bring them to repentance, not to destroy them.

GOD is perfection, ultimate, he is faithful and cannot change.

1 Samuel 15 Samuel said to Saul, GOD is ripping the Kingdom from your hands. You will no longer be king.

“Absent from the body present with the LORD” He said He will come for us and receive us we will be where He is.

He has all power to make it reality. Our hope is assurance given by GOD.

To Adam and Eve He said you surely will die. They died spiritually. To Noah I will never do it again that way and gave us rainbow. GOD is promise, assurance and confidence, He wants His people to be confident that’s why our testimony need to be bold. The reason people don’t have confident testimony because they cannot defend their faith. Because you believe the promises of GOD.

When you face the big trials do you still believe? Our emotions often times run counter to promises of GOD. Do you still believe? That’s where faith and doubt crash.

Genesis 12:1-3

1The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2“I will make you into a great nation,

and I will bless you;

I will make your name great,

and you will be a blessing.

3I will bless those who bless you,

and whoever curses you I will curse;

and all peoples on earth

will be blessed through you.”

Its unconditional promise of GOD, nothing can change it.

Virgin birth of LORD Jesus been told in Isaiah. LORD Jesus told what’s going to happen to Him in John 16.

Believing Him is life eternal, condition upon, LORD Jesus Christ forgiving our sins past, present and future.

We have hope grounded in the nature of GOD Himself.

When we face storm in life the promises of GOD makes us gets through them. It is an unconditional promise of GOD gets us through in life. It’s all based on His faithfulness.

Resting in GOD’s faithfulness

< He is unchanging and He is a faithful GOD.

Lamentations 3:22-23

22Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,

for his compassions never fail.

23They are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness.

< Whatever He called us to do He empowers us to do it. Whatever He promise to do, it will come to pass.

1 Thessalonians 5:24

24The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

<He forgives us. The only reason we know we are saved because we believe He is true to what He says.

1 John 1:9

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

< He puts a limitation to your temptation. GOD does not tempt us, GOD will not allow us to be temped more than we can bear if we trust Him. He puts a limit to trials in life, He will make a way to escape whatever we are dealing with and He will help us to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

< He disciplines us. It is an act of faithfulness. He loves us enough that He does not wants us to sin against Him and living disobediently before Him. Therefore He sends enough affliction to get our attention to change our attitude, to change our mind and start living obediently before Him. The discipline is from GOD, it is an act of faithfulness.

Psalm 119:75

75I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous,

and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

< His answered prayers

LORD Jesus says our Heavenly Father knows our needs and He will meet our needs. His love is unconditional for His children therefore He will meet every need we have.

<He always has a purpose

Romans 8:28

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

GOD is involved in our lives we are dwelled by the Spirit of GOD. We are sealed as a child of GOD.

< He seals us for eternity.

Ephesians 4:30

30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth. GOD word there is Elohim, infinite in power, absolute in faithfulness. He is unchanging, He has all knowledge, all power, all understanding, He loves us unconditionally, He has the best for us, He comes to our rescue in every situation, He limits the trials and heartaches He allows in our lives.

< He has promises us a resurrection body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

42So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43it is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

< He is faithful to unbeliever

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Christians who pretend, who thinks it’s good works gets them into heaven will be separated from GOD for eternity.

John 3:36

36Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

Revelation 20:11-15

The Judgment of the Dead

11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

You are sealed with the promise of Holy Spirit, your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life forever as a child of GOD. You have the presence of the Holy Spirit to enable you to live a Godly life and to enable you to accomplish everything GOD has in mind for you.

Say YES to GOD! It is an eternal blessing.
