1 John 2:15-17

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

John 12:24-26

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

25He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

26If any man serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serves me, him will my Father honour.

*All of us fall within the category of servant of the living GOD. It is the highest honour GOD the Father honours us with.

It is GOD’s will that you will become one of His servants to accomplish His purpose, His will and His plan in your life. The highest honour GOD can place upon you is to serve Him. Every single believer is a servant of GOD.

The privilege to serve the highest honour of the universe. Sovereign GOD, Creator, control all things. To be able to serve the King of the kings and the Lord of the lords is the highest honour.

Colossians 1:15-18

15Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation:

16For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17And he is before all things, and by him all things are held together.

18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.

GOD has called you to save you and to serve Him. He is the Sovereign power.

Matthew 20:25-28

25But Jesus called them unto him, and said, You know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

*When we choose to serve the living GOD we step in the pathway of the living GOD.

Isaiah identifies LORD Jesus as GOD’s Servant Son. Peter identified LORD Jesus as His Servant.

Acts 3:13

13The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

LORD Jesus says I came to serve.

Lowest grade of servant is bondservant, in John 13 LORD Jesus has taken the position of bondservant and washed their feet.

He has taken up on Himself being a servant in order to serve the Father. He said I do what I see My Father doing. We should count privilege to serve the LORD and follow the path way of LORD Jesus Christ Himself.

John 13:16

16Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

We have no excuse for not to serve Him.

*We join the ranks of angels, prophets and apostles.

Angels served LORD Jesus. We join the ranks of the angels. And prophets saw themselves as the servants of the living GOD. GOD chose them for particular work. Paul, Peter, Jude starts their letters as the bondservant of LORD Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:7

7As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

And in the 4^th chapter seen themselves as servant of GOD.

He called us now we are His hand, His feet, His lips. We are here to serve the living GOD. We will spent our lives forever serving the living GOD. It is a privilege to serve the LORD.
