Failure and defeat can be the best thing in Christian life being victorious in Christ by trusting in LORD Jesus Christ to live His life through you.

Galatians 1:15-17

15But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

16To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them who were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

*These defeats sometime engineered by GOD. GOD shuttered him and brought his self-will down.

Romans 7:15-21

15For that which I do I know not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20Now if I do that which I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.

21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

He more successful the person is when he is saved, when they become Christian and trust in LORD Jesus Christ they apply the same principle in their life as Apostle Paul did. It is work in progress, when we are saved we are rough, a lot of sanding and sifting goes on, GOD begin to show things deep down inside.

All our self-will, trying to do the things better works against GOD. GOD is after death not self-improvement. We are to live in absolute dependence to Him, in our Christian life self-effort is working against what GOD is after. LORD Jesus Christ now lives in us, it is no longer self-effort, it is no longer my works. It is living by faith and trusting LORD Jesus Christ as our Saviour. GOD is in the process of confirming us to likeness of His Son.

Defeat and failure are prerequisite. They are essential to what GOD is trying to achieve in our life.

GOD often engineers our defeat. Defeat brings us to place that we listen to GOD.

*Defeat is often times essential to GOD’s accomplishing His great purpose in our life. GOD will be holding us up as demonstration to His angelic hosts, His great and goodness and power demonstrated in our life.

As long as everything goes according to our plans we tent to rely on our own strength when we suffer from failure we realise our inadequacy and reach out to GOD for His strength. Being dependant on Him is exactly where He wants us to remain, living through our life by faith and coming to our end and Christ Jesus living through us.
