Psalm 37:1-8

1Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be you envious of the workers of iniquity.

2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed.

4Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

5Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any way to do evil.

Our desires reveals who we are, reveals our character, motivation in life, your purpose in life. They reveal how we think, they reveal the direction in our life and they reveal the purity of our heart, reveals our thoughts.

Our responsibility to obtain the desires of our heart;

*4 Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be pleasing to Him, be please with Him. It is all about GOD 4 Delight yourself also in the LORD. GOD wants us to be delighted in Him. He is the first and most important thing in my life. Walk right at the centre of His will for our lives. I take pleasure in knowing Him, I get pleasure in knowing Him, I get pleasure being aware of His presence, I take pleasure in praying to Him, I take pleasure in worshipping Him, we take pleasure in serving Him, He is the most satisfying and fulfilling person that I know.

1 John 5:14-15

14And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:

15And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we desired of him.

He wants us to delight ourselves in Him. We should be preoccupied with GOD. He lives in the inside of us. Whatever we are doing in life we can think about the LORD at all times. We should sieve all our thoughts through Him. We should praise the LORD and our whole life should be centred around the LORD Jesus Christ who is ready to give desires of our heart.

*5Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Here is the desire of my heart, I am transferring over to you. I am willing for Him to scrutinise, evaluate my desire and for Him to change it if He wants to. For I know that He will change it to my best.

We need to commit every aspect of our life to LORD and trust in Him, believe Him for it, He will do it. He is omniscient. He will adjust in a way that it will fit you perfectly. Becoming Godly man and woman should be the first thing you want for your children so they will accomplish whatever GOD’s plan for them. Trust Him. He will do it.

*6 And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

He will show what you have done is a right thing. Rest in the LORD. That’s mean I don’t fret. If you are fretting you are not taking delight in Him, you are not committing to Him and you are not trusting Him. LORD says rest in Him.

*7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

That’s mean I wait without complaining, I rested in Him in peace and tranquillity I wait. Take courage, wait on the LORD. It takes courage to wait. He know what we need, He knows the right time for the desires of our heart. The desire and timing comes from Him. GOD knows when you are ready and He also knows when the circumstance will be ready. His timing is always perfect. Rest means I am absolutely confident, wait means pause till further instruction until He says now you can have desires of your heart.

Say Father I want to thank you that you are giving me the desires of my heart. Today I am going to delight myself in you, today I am going to commit everything to you, I am going to trust you and I am going to rest in you. You are My Heavenly Father and you have everything under your control, I am going to wait for your perfect timing for you to give me the desires of my heart.
