The great deception

Posted on 01 Nov 2019

GOD wants us to learn very important lesson right up front in the Bible. The deception affected every single one of us and affects us all the days of our lives. It brings guilt, fear, shame and loss.

Genesis 2:16-17

16And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

The great deception is that you can sin without any consequences. People think they can sin against GOD without consequences.

Genesis 3:1-3

1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ ”

GOD allowed this creature into garden to try and test them.

Revelation 12:9

9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

The devil is created being. Man tested and tried and failed then and we still fall today if we are not careful. The devil is the same.

The great deception is that you can sin without any consequences. That’s devil’s lie. That’s how he operates.

GOD says “You shall not bear false witness” Romans 13:9.

When Satan tempts us he temps about something we don’t have we would like to have. The soul that sin it shall die. Every one of us know that there are consequences to disobedience to GOD and always has been and will be.

Satan led her to question the word of GOD. When you began to doubt GOD’s word it usually followed by denial. Person disobeys GOD, then destruction comes. It is a deception to believe that you can sin without consequences.

Wages of sin is death. There are consequences to disobeying Almighty GOD. Ask GOD what He thinks. Ask yourself a question what are the consequences of this?

People who live righteous lives they are obedient to GOD, they know what is right or wrong, whether it is sin or not. GOD’s people need to live Holy, Godly lives. It makes an awesome impression to people who live in sin. First of all they don’t like us. They will do all kind of things to undermine what we believe in but the truth is there the sin always brings consequences.

They heard the truth but they listened to Satan’s lie. They turned to shame, not only they found shame in their life, they began to experience guilt, shame, fear and being found out.

GOD could call your name today? He wanted them to see where they were because they were separated from GOD. We cannot even imagine what kind of terror went through their mind when they heard GOD’s coming and knowing that they sin against Him. GOD gave them everything imaginable and they threw all away over one deception – you can sin and there are no consequences.

The wages of sin is death, the gift of GOD is eternal life.

Consequences of the great deception;

< They lost their innocence

< They lost their relationship to GOD

< They lost their home in the Garden to the world on their own

< All humanity has been affected

< We experience pain, suffering, hardship, shame and loss as a result of GOD’s judgement.

If you are willing to acknowledge your sins and come to LORD Jesus and ask Him to forgive you for the mess you have made. LORD Jesus Christ died for our sin that is the payment of our sins. Only through the blood of Christ, shed in Calvary paid for our sins in full. Ask Heavenly Father to forgive you and repent, follow the LORD Jesus Christ. GOD knocked Apostle Paul down and blinded Him to get His attention. Don’t put GOD to test. You cannot excuse yourself before GOD. Ask forgiveness of your sins.
