What is it required of me to obey GOD? Doing what GOD wants you to do, when He says do it and how He says do it?
Hebrews 5:7-10
7Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
He learned what obedience required. Obedience to point of suffering.
Hebrews 4:14-15
14Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
He learned the suffering we go through in order to obey GOD.
Learn to obey GOD;
*must learn to wait upon GOD through prayer. GOD does not show us or give us clear direction every time straight away. Somethings may require to be cleaned up before He does, there is a reason GOD waits. It might also be building our faith. Pray, wait and listen to GOD. GOD puts pressure upon us sometime to do the right things.
*You must meditate daily upon GOD.
Joshua 1:7-8
7“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
The Word of GOD is mind of GOD. It is statues of GOD, commandments of GOD.
Psalm 119:9-34, 130
9How shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to your word.
10With my whole heart have I sought you: O let me not wander from your commandments.
15I will meditate in your precepts, and have respect unto your ways.
16I will delight myself in your statutes: I will not forget your word.
23Princes also did sit and speak against me: but your servant did meditate in your statutes.
33Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
34Give me understanding, and I shall keep your law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
130The entrance of your words gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple.
When you walk in His way, we know how to respond our challenges and difficulties. You have to walk in the Word of GOD.
