Empowering emotion of joy. Joy is being delightful, having pleasure, being pleased and cheerful about something.

Philippians 4:4-5

4Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5Let your fairness be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Psalm 37:4

4Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.

Joy is a result of something that goes on within us. Joy has an internal cause. Happiness has external cause. People are happy when their external circumstances going well. Joy is an abiding emotion GOD gives to His children is a result of something internal. Joy is lasting.

The believers have an edge because joy is a result of personal relationship with LORD Jesus Christ. It is the result of indwelling relationship with LORD Jesus.

Galatians 5:19-26

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity, licentiousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Source of our joy is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who releases that joy into our lives when we receive the LORD Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour.

And it is the overflow of Spirit of GOD in our life. The person who puts their fate in LORD Jesus Christ and obeys the Word. Joy is limited to those who put their trust in LORD Jesus Christ and one in whom the Holy Spirit dwells and one in whom Holy Spirit living through the life of Christ and the person who placed their faith in the Bible and who lives by the teaching and the principles of the Word of GOD. That is a joy. Joy is deep and abiding.

All of us who know Christ as our Saviour all of us allow the Spirit of GOD control and guide our lives, all of us believe the Word of GOD and live by.

It is the will of GOD that we are rejoicing. When we worship and rejoicing in the LORD there is power, it enables you, gives you strength and perseverance. Keep going, keep moving no matter what.

Deuteronomy 16:11-15

11And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD your God has chosen to place his name there.

12And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt: and you shall observe and do these statutes.

13You shall observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that you have gathered in your grain and your wine:

14And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within your gates.

15Seven days shall you keep a solemn feast unto the LORD your God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD your God shall bless you in all your increase, and in all the works of your hands, therefore you shall surely rejoice.

GOD commending, encouraging His people to rejoice.

John 17:13

13And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

It is the purpose and will of the GOD that His children are joyful. We should take delight daily what LORD is doing in our lives. We are able to endure the difficulties and hardship and persecutions and trials of life no matter what. GOD says indeed we can rejoice in Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:16

16Rejoice evermore.

This is tested and tried in the life of Apostle Paul who says we can rejoice no matter what because his focus has been in the LORD.

Bible says rejoice in the LORD. We supposed to rejoice in the LORD no matter what. When you rejoice in the LORD it gives you power and strength. LORD Jesus Christ is your power and strength. You are my joy, my LORD. No matter what happens our GOD is sufficient and will be there for us no matter what. If we rejoice in the LORD, we are expressing our confidence and trust in Him.
