Christian life is a process, it is a journey.

Romans 8:29

29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

It is His plan and purpose to grow us up in our Christian life.

2 Peter 3:14-18

14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Paul’s Writings Hard to Understand

15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;

16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable twist, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Be Faithful and Grow

17You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

Ephesians 4:11-15

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

14That we from now on be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, by which they lie in wait to deceive;

15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ:

We are to grow in a balance fashion. The moment we trusted our LORD Jesus Christ as our Saviour we grow in Christ in likeness in every aspect of our Christian life.

How much you have grown over the years? How rich you are in Scriptures?

Stages of our Christian life;

*Unbelieve – we were all lost we used to do what comes naturally.

Ephesians 2:1-3

1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

*Salvation – the moment you trust LORD Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

This is the beginning, you want to read the Word of GOD, you want to pray, and you want to go to Church.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

*Service – it is natural and normal for the person to do good works for the GOD.

Ephesians 2:10

10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

He chose we serve Him in some fashion according to spiritual gifts and talents He has given us.

GOD will show you. Active service to GOD. We are saved to serve Him and walk in the newness of life in His workmanship and in His goodness. It is our life style. It is His plan. GOD has gifted you and talented you. He has called you to serve Him. There is no way to succeed in your life if you avoid serving Him. Putting into practice what makes the Word of GOD real. Preach the gospel pour out into somebody else’s life.

As you share what GOD is showing to you, you become stronger and grounded of the gospel your service takes a new perspective. All believers called to service.

*Frustrated and inadequacy

If you become self-confident GOD will bring circumstances to frustrate you and keep you feeling weak and inadequate. If He did not we become proud and egotistical. He brings these for us to understand we cannot serve GOD in our own strength. It is not a step back it is a step forward in your Christian walk. He never intended for you to do it apart from Him.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

7And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8For this thing I besought the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

It is not a matter becoming better and better. It is Christ who is our life. We cannot handle anything without Christ.

Spirit of GOD reaches to their conscious what is right, what is wrong. Is this the truth or not the truth?

GOD sent His Holy Spirit for us to enable each believer to do everything He commanded. We need to acknowledge our inability and rest in Him.
