The choice you make today determines our tomorrow. That’s why you got to be careful on the choices you make in life.

They make very important choices carelessly. They don’t look beyond today or tomorrow, they don’t look beyond future. They don’t realise there are always consequences to the decisions we make. If we knew where they will lead us we would never make those decisions. You make those choices because of influence of others or money. The truth is the path you are living today is the path you have chosen may be long time ago or you drifted in to it.

Matthew 7:13-14

13“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

The choice is righteous and Godly path that leads you to eternal life or path with full of destruction that ruins your life.

We have chosen righteous and Godly path.

The broad path –

< Wide; you believe whatever you believe, there are people with all kind of religions, you believe in your own freedom and you don’t worry about consequences.

< This path is crowded and getting larger all the time. They want to do whatever they want to do, whenever they want to do and as they want to do. Its undisciplined, ungodly, sexual immorality, drink, party, etc. They don’t want anyone to tell them what they should be doing. If that’s what you want that will lead you to destruction, you can have it. It will lead you to hell, eternal separation from GOD. You won’t have peace and real joy and you can lose all in split seconds, you have no assurance, you have nothing to be confident about. It is a path of destruction, a path that Satan walks and encourages. If you live on this path you will end up with the consequences.

< A way of darkness;

Proverbs 4:19

19But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble.

John 3:16

16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:19-21

19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

LORD Jesus is the light of the world, when He left we are the light. The unbeliever world hates the light. GOD does not accept the path way of wicked.

< Disappointment; they know they live in sin, GOD hates sin because of what it does to His children. It leads them to unhappiness.

< Leads to destruction;

Mark 8:34-37

34Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 35For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

You are foolish living in absolute disobedience to GOD that leads to destruction, denying LORD Jesus Christ, critising and persecuting believers in order to fulfil whatever your desires are and believing that one of these days it will get better. It won’t get better, it is going to get worse because you will get more and more in captivated and prisoned by your habits by your sins and disobedience to GOD. Jesus speaks the truth “For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”

The narrow path

< The way of few; the follower of LORD Jesus Christ are a few. This is the way LORD Jesus calls all of us to follow. Godly life requires discipline.

< The way of wisdom;

Proverbs 4:10-14

10Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. 11I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. 12When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. 13Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. 14Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers.

Path of wisdom, righteousness, holiness, godliness. Our heart desires, our soul cries out, confidence and assurance and eternal life, that’s the path a few will find it.

< Following LORD Jesus

John 14:6

6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

LORD Jesus came to this wold as a virgin born, sent by the Father for primary purpose for laying down His life on the cross, sheading His blood as the ultimate, final sacrifice. GOD prophesised all the way back, at the beginning of time, He lay down His life on the cross in order for GOD to be able to forgive you of your sins.

Bible says “23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23. “20The one who sins is the one who will die.” Ezekiel 18:20.

It is a symbol of GOD’s love for us and payment of sins of mankind. In order GOD to be just and truthful He had to pay for our sins Himself. LORD Jesus paid for our sins, satisfied the penalty for our sins. When you trust LORD Jesus as your Saviour you surrendering your life to Him and you are accepting His forgiveness on the basis LORD Jesus died and paid the penalty.

LORD Jesus is Son of GOD, the Saviour of the world and He came as a sacrifice in order for you to be forgiven by Almighty GOD. LORD Jesus is Son of GOD, GOD in the flesh. When you trust Him as your Saviour you gave up your old way, you surrendered your life to Him, that’s the narrow path. When you trust LORD Jesus as your Saviour it is a new birth, new life, you are a new creation, old things passed away, behold things become new. Now you have the Christ living inside of you enabling you, showing you what is right and giving you the power to live Godly life.

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Philippians 2:10 “27Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,” Hebrews 9:27.

If we had been washed in the blood of LORD Jesus, trusted Him as our Saviour, we will be able to stand before Him.

“12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

16So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. Galatians 5:16-17

We have the Spirit of God enables to overcome the temptation and being disobedient to God.

Matthew 7:20-23

20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Believing is a word of action, I trust Him, I repent my sins, I surrender my life to LORD Jesus Christ. LORD Jesus opened the door for us to have personal intimate relationship with God. LORD Jesus is the Saviour of the world, ask GOD to forgive you of your sins and surrender your life to Him and to follow Him all the days of your life.
