The ultimate race is race of life.

Hebrews 12:1-4

1Therefore seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily ensnare us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

3For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

4You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Endurance and patience is required. It means you will endure, you will hung in there. Don’t give up, exercise your energy, take a stand and move on, keep moving in right direction no matter what. You are looking for victory, you are not going to be defeated by natural part of life.

You have to endure the pain, suffering and hardship.

1 Corinthians 4:11-12

11Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;

12And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure it:

2 Timothy 3:10-11

10But you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,

11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

GOD set this race, He allows these things on our path and He allows these things for a purpose for a specific reason.

We go through hardship and trials and suffering. Endurance is a key to go through all and finish it well.

To run this race that set before us by GOD and in order to run well, we must set aside excess weight things for example earthly enjoyments and pleasures. What is it in your life that will slow you down, you don’t want to have in your race.

Verse 2 “the joy that was set before him” bringing us the life, forgiveness of our sins.

You have to endure, you don’t give up and be triumph in whatever GOD sets before you.

When you endure, you will not be weary, you will not give up. Those learn to endure, end it well.
