GOD has a plan and will for everyone otherwise He wouldn’t have given talent, skill and abilities. He would not have given spiritual gift to believers if they had no purpose whatsoever. GOD has given us talents, skills and abilities and spiritual gifts for a specific reason.

1 Peter 4:10-11

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

When you trust LORD Jesus Christ as your Saviour Holy Spirit began to work in your life and you receive the spiritual gifts.

Spiritual gift is a divinely given endowment that enables us or equip us to serve Him effectively and successfully.

Talent is a special ability in a particular field. Talent you come to this world with.

Spiritual gift given by GOD and chosen fully based on your capacities, based on what He wants to do in your life. If you are a believer you have one of special gifts.

Ephesians 4:11-12

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”

1 Corinthians 12:4-7

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Acts 2:4-8

4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. 5Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. 6When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. 7Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? 8Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

Romans 12:4-8

4For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

These are motivational gifts.

They are motivated by the gift and we can understand people better. You will be happier and your life will be meaningful.

Employ it, put it to work in serving one another.

Mark 10:45

45For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

GOD has given us specific gifts for a specific reason and ultimately to get His work done through His children. He has equipped us and He has given us the Holy Spirit His guarantee. He will exercise that gift through you.

We are to be good stewards. The more the truth you know the more truth you are responsible for. The reason GOD gives you the truth for you to become the person GOD wants you to be. Be your best. He has given you gifts and abilities. Do your best where you are and trust the GOD. The gifts and talents originates from GOD for a specific purpose.

Colossians 3:22-24

22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

You don’t give up, remember you are a creation of GOD. He loves you He gave you talent and spiritual gifts, to equip you to do whatever He has in mind.

To be exercised in the power of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit gives us the power, knowledge and understanding. All of us who are saved with the grace of GOD has been sealed by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit that’s why we are eternally secure. It’s the same spirit works through our lives and accomplishes what GOD would like us to accomplish.

Psalm 92:12-15

12The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;

13planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God.

14They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,

15proclaiming, “The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

We want to do our best as long as we live and He gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to do everything that He would like us to do.
