Galatians 5:1

1Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Bondages in today’s society are;

Drugs

Alcohol

Cigarettes

Sexual Bondage

Inferior Bondage

Feeling of being rejected

Bible says we are either slave to GOD or to sin.

Flesh refers to in Bible is natural tendencies of humanity. We have old sinful nature inside of us which is the natural man. When temptation comes we choose by active of our will. It is a decision we make.

GOD calls us to righteousness, holiness.

These are the natural tendencies of flesh;

Galatians 5:19-26

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity, licentiousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

When we are saved by the grace of GOD; we become a new creation.

Romans 6:12, 16, 21

12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

16Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!

The natural tendencies are there within you because we are human beings. Now we are free from sin, slave to GOD, sanctified, set apart to GOD.

We are slave to LORD Jesus Christ or slave to some form of sin; as a result of spiritual problem people become bondage to sin which is the ultimate destroyer.

LORD Jesus said I have come to set the captives free.

Isaiah 61:1

1The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

LORD Jesus Christ is the only great liberator can set us free. In order to be free, you need to know the truth.

John 8:32

32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

When a person began to learn the truth we want to be free of those things holds us captives. When the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.

When a person looks from GOD’s point of view, there are somethings they will not allow in their life. Because nobody would want to be captive. GOD created within us desire to be free. We are the trophies of the living GOD. Freedom is yours for the asking.
