Proverb 3:5-6

5Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Psalm 62:1-12

1Truly my soul waits upon God: from him comes my salvation.

2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3How long will you imagine evil against a man? you shall be slain all of you: as a leaning wall shall you be, and as a tottering fence.

4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5My soul, wait you only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

6He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

7In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8Trust in him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: if laid on the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10Trust not in oppression, and hope not vainly in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11God has spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongs unto God.

12Also unto you, O Lord, belongs mercy: for you render to every man according to his work.

Learning to wait upon GOD is very important. If I choose to wait on the LORD, it is positive. Pause until you get further instructions from GOD. When GOD tells not to move, do not move. Stay at your present post till you get further instruction.

Learn to listen to GOD. That’s how you will know GOD’s will.

Isaiah 64:4

4Since ancient times no one has heard,

no ear has perceived,

no eye has seen any God besides you,

who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

Waiting for GOD to intervene our circumstances or to give us a different direction. We are waiting on the LORD to intervene, to change our circumstances or to give us a different direction.

We are waiting to hear GOD’s voice, we are waiting for GOD to step in our circumstances to change it in a way that pleases and honours Him.

Timing is very important in the eyes of GOD.

Be patient, discipline yourself and keep your focus on the LORD.

Actively obey GOD wherever He leads you.

Submit myself fully to GOD and trust Him. He knows what the best thing is without you knowing what He will do next or why.

GOD involves Himself in our circumstances and those who wait on Him gets the benefit what GOD does in our life. When He involves in our circumstances He changes or strengthens us or enable us to stand no matter how hard the wind blows.

It is difficult to wait but it drives us to Word of GOD. It will cause us to know the ways of GOD and draws us in instant relationship with Him because our heart hungers to know Him.

LORD Jesus Christ is the only One who can save us. David is quietly waiting for GOD’s intervention, for GOD’s direction.

If I am waiting upon the LORD, listening to Him and trusting Him, my GOD will act on my behalf to bring to pass whatever He has in mind for me.

GOD is acting on my behalf that is invisible to me in the midst of the situation that I cannot fix.

GOD message to David is to wait till He gives him direction.

Wait in silence and trust Him at all times because GOD will act on your behalf in such a fashion that you will see demonstration of His power.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart to give you directions.

I will fulfil GOD’s purpose. The winds can blow I will not be shaken because GOD has promised to take care of us.

GOD knows all the traps and pitfalls that we may face. GOD is our guide. Put your trust in the LORD.
