Hebrews 12:1-3

1Therefore seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily ensnare us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

3For consider him that endured such hostility of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

The power of father and his influence on the child is tremendous. GOD loves us unconditionally.

*Christian life is a race

*the sin – it is the primary area weakness in our life that we have to deal with. The one we are most tempted by. It is the one you must be on guard, it is the one troubles you the most, snares you, divides your mind, it hinders your relationship with others. It surfaces when you pray. It strikes your self-respect. It will hinder your relationship to GOD.

Admit it is entangling

Decision to take responsibility

Make decision to deal with it

Lay it aside – I choose to lay it down, I chose to walk away from it. You and GOD in agreement that they don’t fit in your life. He will help you to do exactly what He wants you to do. It is the discipline not desire determines the outcome of our decision, our destiny. It is the willingness to set it aside, GOD will set you free.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
