Psalm 27:14

14Wait for the Lord;

be strong and take heart

and wait for the Lord.

When we are willing to wait on the LORD as difficult as it could be GOD blesses us. Because GOD says wait it does not mean no it means not now.

 *We discover GOD’s will and purpose by waiting on Him. When we wait on Him GOD will honour that. If I know what GOD is saying when to move forward, GOD will let me know. GOD will clarify with us His will and His way.

Lamentations 3:25

25The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.

*LORD gives us super natural strength and energy to do whatever He calls us to do. We will run like eagles with His energy with His strength.

Isaiah 40:28-31

28Have you not known? have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.

30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalm 37:9, 34

9For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

When we wait on the LORD we are expressing faith on Him, the dependence upon Him. Our trust in Him. The issue and real key is waiting for the war. GOD knows how to fight our battle we need to wait, don’t try to do it yourself.

*We will receive answer to our prayer. The new song was about faithfulness of GOD. When we wait for Him He will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. He will answer our prayer.

Psalm 40:1-3

1I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

3And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

*When we wait on the LORD He will fulfil our faith. Don’t do anything till GOD tells you to do it. And you will not be put the shame.

Isaiah 49:23

23And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

*See GOD working on our behalf. GOD is ready to act on behalf of those who wait for Him. GOD please show me what to do next. Because all of heaven behind those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 64:1-4

1Oh that you would rend the heavens, that you would come down, that the mountains might flow down at your presence.

2As when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make your name known to your adversaries that the nations may tremble at your presence!

3When you did terrible things which we looked not for, you came down, the mountains flowed down at your presence.

4For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, besides you, what he has prepared for him that waits for him.

Requirements to wait on the LORD

*Faith. We must be willing to trust His ways and His timing.

*Humility I must be convince that I need Him I cannot do without Him. I am willing to submit myself to His way and timing.

*Patience. I am willing to stand at my present position till I get further order from GOD, till GOD gives me further instructions.

*Courage. It takes courage to wait on the LORD. Listen the Almighty GOD.

If you make a mistake, GOD will turn it round for your good and that mistake will turn out to be your welfare.

We all have to learn the Word of GOD. It becomes yours when you put into action and GOD shows you how He operates. You will never be shamed if you trust in the LORD. Waiting upon Him is very wise. You learn it by experience by failing, trying. He takes our failure and turns it to be for our good when our motivation is right.
