GOD has a will, a plan for all of His children.

Colossians 1:9-12

9For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10That you might walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12Giving thanks unto the Father, who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

What is His will?

The will of GOS is which GOD approves of and determines to bring about; it concerns GOD’s choices of what to do and what not to do.

LORD Jesus Christ died for everyone, everyone is important. GOD has a will for your life.

Aspects of GOS’s will;

*His Predestined will that means He is referring to those things He will do it. His predestined will, will happen and nobody can interfere with it. His sovereign and overriding will operation in general and in our lives personally. It is irresistible, unchangeable and unconditional that is His predestined will cannot be changed no matter what happens, who happens with through cannot be changed. A good example of this predestined will is cross. He predestined the death of LORD Jesus before the world ever was created. He makes no mistake. His predestined will, we cannot do anything about.

*His Moral will which applies to every one of us that we should live by.

Exodus 20:13-17

13“You shall not murder.

14“You shall not commit adultery.

15“You shall not steal.

16“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour.

17“You shall not covet your neighbour’s house.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-5

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.

3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a] in a way that is holy and honourable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;

This is the moral will of GOD that you should abstain from sexual immorality. That is the law of the living GOD. Sexual immorality is the sin against Almighty GOD and His moral law. Each of us will give an account for the way we respond to it.

*GOD’s desired will. Those things He desire for us; salvation, baptism, the fruit of the spirit in our lives, service, giving, forgiving, loving, praying about everything.

Where are in light of the will of GOD today? We will give an account for our life.

He will pick you up where you are in your life, He will enable you to do your best rest of your life. What He needs and waiting for is your willingness to surrender to His will. He always wants the best for us. All of His judgement will be according to His purpose. He knows our opportunities He has given us. You had opportunity, influence, and testimony. The privilege of living with GOD if you choose to. He will show you His will for your life. GOD does not quit, give up on your life. GOD has a will for your life.

He will give you whatever you need. GOD wants to live His life in you through you and He will take you wherever you are when you surrender yourself to Him.

Psalm 16:11

11You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for ever more.

Psalm 32:8

8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Proverb 3:5-6

5Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Hindrance to discovering GOD’s will;

-Self-will

-Influence of other people

-ignorance of the Word of GOD

-Doubt

-Feelings unworthiness

-Fear

-Known sin

GOD can do anything He chooses to do no matter what happened in the past.

GOD has a will for your life, He loves you, He desires the best for you. He brings up the future of what He is able to do and can do with you.
