1 Peter 5:8-9
8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:
9Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
LORD Jesus gave authority over all the demonic spirit world.
Ephesians 6:10-12
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.
Matthew 10:1
1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Satan often attack through other people. They are limited, they are not omniscient or omnipresent or omnipotent.
Satan tries to;
-Get us doubt the Word of GOD
-distract us from spiritual things
-disable us in the LORD Service
-destroy us physically
2 Corinthians 2:11
11Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
2 Corinthians 11:14
14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Devil primary strategy is deception. Telling someone something that is not true in order to get them to do something. Tries to bring us to believe something that is not true.
Genesis 3:13
13Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
It is often necessary for us to suffer, for GOD purifies us, empowers us and equips us to the work of ministry through pain and suffering. It is necessary for spiritual growth and building Christ like character. The time in your life you grow the strongest is the time you have suffered the most. When we respond properly we grow the most.
