Psalm 51:1-19
1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be blameless when you judge.
5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.
7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
9Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy Spirit from me.
12Restore unto me the joy of your salvation; and uphold me with your free spirit.
13Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you.
14Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
15O Lord, open my lips; and my mouth shall show forth your praise.
16For you desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
18Do good in your good pleasure unto Zion: build you the walls of Jerusalem.
19Then shall you be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon your altar.
1.Repent your sins before GOD. A confession of our guilt before GOD. Deliberate confession of guilt.
2.Our sin is against GOD.
3.I assume full responsibility for my sin.
4.I am totally honest with GOD about my sin.
GOD never abundant His children, in times of failure or sin. Because He loves us unconditionally, He is willing to forgive us. LORD Jesus Christ bore the penalty of my sin. He died in order that all may be saved. The redemption only applies those who repent and accept LORD Jesus Christ as their Saviour. I will only be able to experience that forgiveness, I will only be able to enjoy that release and liberty from that guilt, I will only able to experience freedom from that bondage when I genuinely repent of my sins. Then we walk through confidently and assuredly accepting GOD’s forgiveness.
We must make restitution with those who you sin against, ask them to forgive you.
Accept GOD’s discipline willingly. Discipline is act of love. Forgiveness is wiping out of our sins. He corrects us as a discipline as an expression of love to correct us and to save us from destroying ourselves.
Hebrews 12:6
6For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives.
He discipline those who He loves and we should accept the discipline of GOD without complaining knowing that it is an expression of unconditional love of GOD.
Seek to learn the lessons that GOD would like us to learn.
Humility
Purity
Instruction
When we fail ask LORD to humble your spirit before the LORD, purify your heart and instruct you that you do not repeat. If you continue to struggle, seek Godly counsel.
13Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you.
We are to share wisely GOD’s grace and power with others. GOD is still working in my life I am still learning. We are all learning. A disciple is the one learning the ways of GOD.
Respond as a learner, humble in spirit, purify your heart and seek instruction. Become a valuable vessel for GOD.
