Galatians 5:16-26

16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that you cannot do the things that you would.

18But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity, licentiousness,

20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law.

24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Our enemies are devil. The world system and the society are without GOD, the works of the flesh.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2I have fed you with milk, and not with solid food: for until now you were not able to bear it, neither yet now are you able.

3For you are yet carnal: for while there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are you not carnal, and walk as men?

Flesh is something inside of us makes us act ungodly. It is that humanness within us, all of us has it. It is sin within us which is against the Spirit of GOD.

Philippians 3:3

3For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Between our flesh and spirit is our soul that is our personality. Holy Spirit came to live in the inside of you. His Spirit became part of our spirit. We can relate to GOD. Lost man cannot relate to GOD because His spirit is dead things of GOD.

In our souls of ours we make decisions, we choose to follow the flesh or walk in obedience to GOD. Flesh cannot be changed, it is part of us, and we are confined in this body.

For a sinner walking in the flesh will be the centeredness. How flesh express itself;

Self-will, self-centeredness, self-assertion, self-depreciation, self-conceited and self-love, self-indulgence, self-pleasing, self-pity, self-defence, self-trust, self-sufficiency, self-exhortation, self-righteousness and self-glory.

For them it is normal they don’t have the Spirit of GOD inside of them and no one enable them to do better. He doesn’t have the power of the Holy Spirit he just does what comes naturally.

4 categories the works of flesh are verses 19-21

1^st category sexual immorality, 2^nd category idolatry, 3^rd category rivalry, 4^th category drunkenness.

They have hunger and desire in person and lots of emotions when in the flesh all about self. Anything we do for self is flesh.

Your life style should be walking in the Spirt, when you fall in the fleshly times confess and repent immediately and move on.

The Spirit of GOD within you will quicken your spirit to confession, repentance and will move you on. Don’t dwell about it. Don’t talk about it.

Walking in the Spirit is peace, make GOD grant you the wisdom to make the right choice. When you walk in Spirit you will enjoy the joy and the peace that comes.

Success in our life is our relationship to the LORD. Success is discovering the will of GOD and walking obediently in His will by faith and growing intimate relationship with Him.
