When you go through difficulties and hardship remember LORD Jesus knows exactly how you feel because He has been there in some fashion in some way or other.

Hebrews 4:13-16

13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Our High Priest Tempted Like Us

14Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Temptation is common to all man which means every single person will be tempted in different way.

Temptation is controlled by GOD. GOD is faithful He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able. Holy Spirit within us, enabling us, empowering us and to strengthening us. We depend on the dwelling presence and the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We will overcome those temptations. We endure them because they are controlled by GOD.

GOD will make a way that we may escape the falling, not the temptation, is being removed.

1 Corinthians 10:1-13

1Moreover, brethren, I want not that you should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3And did all eat the same spiritual food;

4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7Neither be you idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

8Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

9Neither let us test Christ, as some of them also tested him, and were destroyed by serpents.

10Neither murmur you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

11Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come.

12Therefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

13There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.

How do we deal with temptation?

*Don’t lose your perspective and your focus on the big picture.

If I yield this temptation what is the consequences of it?

Am I prepared to pay the price for this?

Is there a better way than being with GOD?

*We all have weaknesses so identifying the weaknesses in your life is very important

*Visualise your victory over it. Bible say “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he:” Proverbs 23:7.

*make yourself accountable to a Christian friend. GOD will use that person as an encouragement.

*be able to identify the danger zone in life.

*have a set time for prayer and meditation that you meet GOD daily. Bible says, “put on the whole armour of GOD” Ephesian 6:13. Breast plate of righteousness to protect my emotions today, the girdle of truth so I will know the truth so wherever I am walking today I will be a good testimony for My LORD. Sword of the Spirit is LORD’s Word. Trust GOD to be your protector, guard, and shield for you.

HALT – Don’t get all yourself too hungry, angry, lonely and tired.

*Have the understanding and personal experience of the Holy Spirit in your life. He is there to enable you, to lift you up, to empower you, to strengthen you. Resist the devil, depend on the Holy Spirit. Repent, confess of your sins. With the power of the Holy Spirit He came to enable us to become the person GOD wants us to be and do the works GOD called us to do. Obey GOD by the power of the Holy Spirit, you will have victory every single area of your life. GOD is on your side as you are one of His children.

All temptation is based on fantasy, then imagination, desire, and will. If something is not of GOD, turn away from it. GOD set boundaries in every area of our life in order to protect us.

Temptation is an enticement to do evil. Enticement beyond the boundaries that GOD set for us for our good and security. The evil goal is alienating us from GOD. Remain alert.

Testing is for a season. GOD allows us to be tried for a purpose to prove us. To teach us endurance to strengthen us, to build our faith. GOD will never tempt us, try us. GOD allows us to be tempted but not to do evil. Once we are proved we receive crown of righteousness. GOD wants us to come through temptations successfully.

Temptation is a trial of our faith. The more obedient you are, the more sensitive you become to sin. The more GOD will use you in your life, Satan will do all he can to attack you. Don’t debate with evil people. The godlier you are more you will be attacked.

Every sin is a choice. We say who within us is greater than in the world therefore you don’t fall into sin. We chose to make that decision.
