Toying with a temptation of sexual indulgence will get you burn.

Samson in Judges Chapters 13-16

Philistines intermarried and traded with godly people. Samson mission was to deliver people of GOD from the domination of the Philistines.

Samson had great potential who seconds the lust of temptation who begin to pursue His sexual desires rather than the will of GOD and ends in tragic defeat.

The truth about sexual temptation is;

-It’s an act of disobedience and rebellion to GOD.

Judges 14:1-3

1And Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines.

2And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me as a wife.

3Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there no woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you go to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleases me well.

Deuteronomy 7:1-3

1When the LORD your God shall bring you into the land to which you go to possess it, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you;

2And when the LORD your God shall deliver them over to you; you shall strike them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them:

3Neither shall you make marriages with them; your daughter you shall not give unto his son, nor his daughter shall you take unto your son.

-The root of sexual immorality is rebellion to GOD.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-3

1Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

2For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

3For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that you should abstain from fornication:

Who rejects this, rejects GOD who gave His Holy Spirit to you. The person who does this in danger of destroying their future which results in emotional hell.

Ephesians 5:3

3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Colossians 3:5-6

5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6For which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience:

1 Corinthians 6:15-20

15Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid.

16What? know you not that he who is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh.

17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

19What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own?

20For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

These physical body of ours are far more holy than in the eyes of GOD than any physical building where people worship.

-Toying with sexual temptation is rebellion and rebellion and sexual immorality go hand in hand.

What is it that GOD said that you are rebelling against?

Samson lost all he had due to his insistence in having what was forbidden. Rebellion against GOD always bring destruction.
